From Windsor Ridge: 11.5 miles RT, elevation gain 2388 ft, max elevation 10,261

This is a great hike to acclimate to the altitude. Stewart Lake is a popular camp and fishing spot and very beautiful, especially in the fall. The trail passes through several Aspen groves and there are views of Santa Fe Baldy and various ridgelines. From the lake you can either go back the way you came or make it a mile or two longer by descending the Windsor Trail.
