Cowles to Santa Fe Ski Resort
From the Windsor trail: 14-20 miles one way.
This was the route used by early settlers to bring supplies from Santa Fe to Cowles. The shortest route is to stay on the Windsor trail the Santa Fe Ski area. But to make it longer you can head up to Lake Katherine, summit Santa Fe Baldy and then meet up with the Windsor on the back side. You’ll need to arrange a ride back to Cowles or take the free shuttle from the ski resort to Santa Fe Plaza for the night, enjoy town, get a hotel and then run back the next day. Or make this your last run of the trip and have friends pick you up in Santa Fe.
